Having grown up in Elmira, NY, in spite of the proximity, I missed completely the wonderful Finger Lakes that were only a half hour away. Now I live in the middle of two of them and have a winery within view of one. I spent time at the family marina and climbed the nearby gorges. Truly a land covered with blossoms of wild flowers and rows of fragrant vineyards, besides our pristine lakes and falls.
